Two Steps Forward, One Step Back
Your Monday Morning Check-In for Connect to Community
In our Pet Loss Grief Circle this past June, the message that came through from the animals for everyone was: slow down, tune in, and we’re going to take two steps forward and one step back.
We just have to remember that the step back isn’t failure. It’s the time where the new things get found because we have a chance to slow down, integrate and then decide, consciously, how to move ahead.
Community can hold that for us in a way solitude sometimes can’t. When we move forward and back together, we don’t have to carry the uncertainty of the step back alone. Someone nearby has already been there, or is there with us right now.
That’s what I love about the Grief Circles. We’re all in different places with our grief journey and yet - we find common ties that support us all.
This week, think about a time an animal in your life had a pause or setback that gave you permission to have your own.
Where might you be needing that same permission right now? And how is your animal showing up for you?
Let me know in the comments.

I’d be grateful if you could press the ❤️ button at the top or bottom of this email. Not only do Lukas and I love hearing from you, pressing that little ❤️, makes it easier for other people to find me. Thank you for reading and spreading the word!
