Guided by Curiosity: A Meditation for You and Your Animal

Keri Kenney leads us in a guided practice to support the Animals' Message for June

In celebration of the Summer Solstice and the theme of curiosity, my dear friend

returns to guide our Substack community through a deeply restorative meditation. This practice invites us into the spacious, unknowing terrain of curiosity—not as something we must chase or master, but as a way of being that emerges when we release the pressure to have it all figured out.

Keri shares her own story of transformation: how, after a life-shifting loss, she was gently ushered out of certainty and into surrender. In that space of surrender, curiosity came alive. The meditation she offers is a tender invitation to reconnect with that same wonder within ourselves—alongside our animals, who are often our greatest teachers in presence, playfulness, and openness.

Whether you’re navigating grief, change, or just looking to deepen your connection with your animal or yourself, this meditation is a gentle doorway into the spaciousness that curiosity offers.

“In the collapse and the letting go of what I thought I knew, curiosity found me—finds me—again and again. It’s been one of the most profound catalysts of my life.” - Keri Kenney

🐾 Reflection Prompt:

The next time you sit with your animal—whether in stillness, play, or simply side-by-side—notice what happens when you drop the need to know or fix anything. What might shift if you let yourself be gently led by curiosity? Ask yourself:

“What is my animal noticing that I might be missing?”

Let their way of being invite you into wonder.
